Fish or Hamster
After spending 2 days going out with William, I heard him keeps on talking about his new aquarium. Suddenly feels so interested to some pets to stay with me in my room. Have been thinking to get pets since I was in secondary school, but didn't really managed to get any. I'm thinking that I'm quite interested in fish or hamster. What do you think? You guys might have been adopting these pets before. If so, please give your opinions on those pets from your past experiences if possible! Maybe you can share some experience in terms of maintenance, cost or time needed.

Hmm... Both are really good pets :). However, just a note of precaution, although hamsters are generally pretty easy to be kept as pets, you'd need to do some initial research about the hamster's ideal enclosure and how you should take care of them. My friends have them and if care is not taken, they would either show scared or violent behaviour.
Fishes on the other hand is pretty easy to take care of... but it really depends on the type of fish you are thinking of rearing. Resillient fishes are much easier to maintain compare to beautiful ones which can be less adaptable to their environment (gold fishes comes to mind). So it's best to ask the experts in the pet store before you make your selection ;).
Speaking of pets, I would really love to have an aquarium in my room :). Although I would say that hamsters are much more interesting because you can play with them :).

I have 8 gold fishes in my 4 feet length aquarium :) 7 of them are in red color and another one is in black color.
In terms of maintenance, in my own opinion, hamster is easier to take care of. For fishes, you need to change water, feed them everyday (and must not over feed them, because they alway forgot whether they have eaten before), and you need a lot of equipment like pump, aquarium and etc...
I worked in my uncle's aquarium before so I know how troublesome it is :)

felix: Go get yourself an aquarium!
zbjernak: My friend's fish also breed very fast. He bought 10 fishs with 3 of them pregnant, and in the first week, it multiplies to around 80 fishs now.
szehau: I agree with you. But, hamster is quite smelly.
Seems like 2 for hamster and 1 neutral. Guess should go for hamster?!

Hamster don't really smell as long as you do your maintanence work, which is pretty simple actually. Well... even an aquarium would smell if you just leave it there for months without washing the glass, right? ;)

Yap, agreed. But my friend recommended me to use the fish that sucks the dirts off the glass and some prawns to consume those dirts to create an food chain to make the aquarium lasts longer.

I'm planning to get the aquarium if I had the extra cash left from my salary this month. :) (I have been having the idea months ago) But judging on the number of items in my wishlist, probably it would take me some time to realise this :p.
